On Monday 12 December, BAPN (Belgian Anti-Poverty Network), organized a round table discussion on good practices and what’s needed to be successful in the fight against child poverty. Mariza Mendoza from Vrienden van ‘t Huizeke, (a Brussels anti-poverty association), Claudio Pescarollo from RéBBUS (a project network from Namur) as well as Sian Jones, EAPN policy coordinator, presented good and inspiring practices. Besides BAPN member associations, the Secretary of State responsible for the fight against poverty, Elke Sleurs, as well as several other stakeholders from NGO’s, the Ministry, academics… participated. Interesting exchanges lead to concrete recommendations.
