PING ‘Poverty Is Not a Game’ is a ‘serious’ game to be used by schools as a teaching tool, and is accompanied by a handbook for teachers which draws extensively on the EAPN ‘Poverty explainer’. EAPN Portugal also contributed to the testing phase of the game earlier this year with a group of young people in Lisbon.

EAPN and other stakeholders who participated in the 9th Round Table sent a clear message that the National Action Plans on Inclusion, are crucial for coherent integrated strategies and national stakeholder participation, i.e. participation of people experiencing poverty, NGOs, regional and local authorities.

The 2010 Coalition of Social NGOs calls on everyone to join and form a Human Ring around the European Parliament on 19 November, from 12:15 till 13:30. Taking the form of a citizens’ flashmob, this event calls for a credible response to the crisis and reclaims the European Institutions as People’s institutions.
