EAPN Ireland: Action Needed to Prevent Reversal of Progress on Poverty

“EAPN Ireland call for Jobs Strategy and Plan for Tackling Poverty”. A
decade of progress on poverty in Ireland will be reversed without
immediate action from the Government, according to Anna Visser, Director
of the European Anti-Poverty Network Ireland.

The Collectif des femmes (Women’s association) from Louvain-La-Neuve and
the Réseau Wallon de Lutte contre la Pauvreté (Walloon Anti-Poverty
Network) organisied a conference on « La pauvreté au féminin – Elles,
leurs droits, leurs revendications, leurs stratégies,... » « Women’s
poverty – They, their rights, their demands, their strategies, … » on 2
March 2010, in Louvain-La-Neuve. This conference was a North-South
exchange as it will gather speakers from both hemispheres. Access all information

The Belgian Network is organising a meeting where people experiencing
poverty wish to debate with you on recommandations concerning health,
social security and social inclusion, on 26 February 2010 at the Belgian

EAPN Italy: participation of people experiencing poverty

Within the European project "Europa s.p.a." a new meeting on participation and people experiencing poverty was held in Bologna, on 28 January. The event gathered people in poverty, community organizers, social operators and local authorities to discuss how the expertise of people experiencing poverty may sustain the OMC/inclusion and the fight against poverty and social exclusion.
