05/02/2016 – EAPN Finland contributed to the newly published European Parliament study Mainstreaming Employment and Social Indicators into Macroeconomic Surveillance which assesses how employment and social issues are addressed in the EU. The study includes a country-case study annex which starts by Finland. EAPN latest documents are also quoted and referenced, and the study draws heavily on the OSE/Zeitlin Study Socializing the European Semester which EAPN contributed to.
Commissioned by the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs of the European Parliament, this study to obtain an up-to-date assessment of how employment and social issues are addressed in the European Semester governance mechanisms and of the contribution fo the employment and social indicators applied in the macro surveillance exercises since 2013, as well as the role and perceptions of the main stakeholders in this respect.
