01/06 – Organised by EAPN France on 21 March 2013 in partnership with the UNESCO Chair on world’s food system* and the National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA), the conference brought together over 250 people, around the differences between food aid and the right to food.
The diversity of stakeholders showed the multitude of existing initiatives on these topics. Olivier De Schutter, UN Special Rapporteur for the Right to Food, in his speech, returned to the analysis of inequality in France and in Europe in the access to sustainable food production and the need to enforce the right to food.
Stakeholders included notably agricultural unions operators of food aid, social network of stores or AMAP,etc.
