The FEAD Network launch conference was held in Brussels on 2-3 June, with over 200 delegates from around Europe joining to discuss ways of delivering the Fund for European Aid to the Most Deprived. The FEAD Network is a new open membership community for people providing assistance to the most deprived in Europe. Those interested to join this community can sign up to the FEAD Network online community and join the Yammer Group where they can follow the discussions and access the conference presentations and photos.
The conference was the first of a series of events and set the tone for future meetings of the Network, with an emphasis on interactive networking. EAPN was represented at the event by ten of its national members, chaired a world café discussion table on the challenges posed by the identification and outreach of beneficiaries for the FEAD programme and intervened through its acting director Fintan Farrell, in the closing panel of the conference. He drew together key findings from the conference and put forward proposals for how these findings can be further used by the FEAD network.
