The European Commission regularly issues calls for proposals in various policy areas which allow civil society to apply for EU funding for specific projects. Below are open EU calls for proposals relevant to anti poverty and anti social exclusion work.

- Youth in Action- Programme (2007 - 2013) - Deadline: from 01 February 2007 up to the end of 2013. Deadlines vary according to Action. Please contact the European Commission or your National Agency).
- Daphne III "Action grants" 2011-2012 - Deadline: 29 March 2012. The programme "Daphne III" for the period 2007-2013 aims to contribute to the prevention and combating of violence against children young people and women and to protect victims and groups at risk.
- NEW! Think Parents 2012 - call for workshop presentations for the European conference on parenting support, Think Parents! The conference consists of three strands, bringing together research, policy and practice. The abstract form can be downloaded from www.nji.nl/thinkparents2012. Deadline: 15 April 2012.

Mr Witold Krochmal, rapporteur for the forthcoming CoR opinion on the Competitiveness of enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (2014-2020), invites you to provide your initial feedback on policies supporting SMEs and increasing the "business friendliness" of the EU's regions and cities. Your contribution will feed into both Mr Krochmal's draft opinion (final adoption due on 9-10 October 2012) and the Third CoR Monitoring Report on Europe 2020, due to be published in October 2012.
