EAPN - European Anti-Poverty Network

The Polish Committee of EAPN does not have a legal status. It is based at WRZOS (The Working Community of Associations of Social NGO’s).

The main objective of the Committee is to create an adequate organizational form, integrating and strengthening the cooperation between organizations working in the field of fighting against poverty and social exclusion.

The Committee achieves the aims through:

• Creating common European social policy including the national policy in the area of fighting against poverty and social exclusion
• Monitoring and review of the processes concerning realization of the tasks assigned to the State in the area of fighting against poverty and social exclusion, including the implementation by the public authorities of the National Action Plans for Social Protection and Social Inclusion and National Strategy for Social Inclusion.
• Cooperation with public administration, local authorities and other partners active in the area of social policy, education and employment.
• Gathering and organizing the institutions working in the field of fighting against poverty and social exclusion particularly through creating of local, regional and international networks of cooperation between social organization and public authorities.
• Initiating of scientific research and programs aimed at achieving the social advancement for people at risk of poverty and social marginalization.
• Preparing the reports, analysis, expert opinions and the drafts of legal acts within the scope of limitation of unemployment, homelessness, poverty and negative results of these problems.
• Exchanging the experiences, knowledge on the subject of fighting poverty and social exclusion through organizing the seminars, meetings and conferences including international ones.
