‘Cycle against poverty: The Challenge’ 1st edition 25 -31 August 2012

Are you interested in a cycling holiday? Would you like to cycle along the beautiful Danube from Vienna to Budapest? Join the first cycling fundraising event and contribute to the EAPN Fund

The first edition of ‘Cycle against poverty: The Challenge’ will bring together teams of cyclists on the picturesque cycling paths in Austria, Slovakia and Hungary along the river Danube. The event is aimed primarily at Dutch cyclists, but not exclusively. This event is aimed at those wanting a cycling holiday (approximately 65km per day) rather than those who do cycling as a sporting pursuit, so while it is a challenge it should be open to most people.

EAPN takes part in the Join Social Conference

29-30/03 - The second Joint Social Conference was organised in Brussels by an alliance of over 40 trade unions, NGOs and social movements from 20 countries, of which EAPN is a prominent member. The coalition started three years ago in an effort to build bridges and trust, as well as identify common action, between trade unions and the civil society. It includes, among others, the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), ATTAC, the European Public Service Union (EPSU), the Transnational Institute (TNI), Transform!, the Seattle 2 Brussels network, ...
