Last January, EAPN Estonia released a press release calling for a rise in the subsistence benefits, still ridiculously low in Estonia -- 76,70 EUR for first person (and 80 % each next family member) after accommodation costs, while the monthly food basket costs 77,58 EUR per person. Press release was picked up by most national newspapers.
