Last January, EAPN Estonia released a press release calling for a rise in the subsistence benefits, still ridiculously low in Estonia -- 76,70 EUR for first person (and 80 % each next family member) after accommodation costs, while the monthly food basket costs 77,58 EUR per person. Press release was picked up by most national newspapers.

The 3rd Regional Meeting of People experiencing poverty and social exclusion took place on 18 May in Murcia, on “the capacity of people to contribute to social change”. It offered the opportunity to discover several citizens initiatives developed in that region, with the aim to contribute to society and mutual learning. Read more on EAPN Spain’s website.
