Statistics show that every third person in Macedonia lives at risk of poverty and while the government has taken some measures, primarily conditional cash transfers, NGOs call for a stronger commitment and mobilization on the issue. The launching press conference included representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, Macedonian Anti-Poverty Platform (MAPP), EAPN, representatives of the European Union Delegation and, as the main funders, Austrian Embassy.
In the context of this visit, the EAPN Development Officer met MAPP members on the 28th October and discussed the cooperation and future membership of MAPP in EAPN. For more information, please contact vlado.anchev@gmail.com
