On May 2, 2016 the EAPN member organisation Derbyshire Unemployed Workers Centre joined other local civil societies and associations to celebrate the 2016 Chesterfield Mayday Parade.
The protesters assembled in front of the Town Hall at 10:30 am and then proceeded to march through the town center streets.
The event was accompanied by a street market selling books, crafts and antiquities, live performances and a rally where prominent local figures such as Toby Perkins, Jane Loftus, Raya Ziyaei and Tosh McDonald spoke about social and economic issues.
