{jathumbnail}22/08 – Krems, Austria – After 5 days of intense, inspired and constructive exchange, the Nyeleni Europe 2011, European Forum for Food Sovereignty closed on 22 August.
On 19th July, anti-poverty organisations in 5 EU Member States (Portugal, Ireland, Romania, Greece and Latvia) and EAPN Europe wrote to Mr Barroso to request that the European Commission publish more detailed Recommendations on National Reform Programmes for each of their countries, reviewing the key objectives set by Europe 2020.
{jathumbnail}This briefing aims at giving members of EAPN and anti-poverty activists aclear overview of the functioning of the EU2020 Strategy and an analysis of EAPN’s positions and actions. Il also highlights opportunities for EAPN at the EU and national levels.
This position paper outlines EAPN’s key concerns on volunteering as well as recommendations to all stakeholders, to the non-profit sector, to the European Commission, to Member States and to the business sector.
