Ms Courteille-Mulder stressed that the ILO recognizes the considerable impact of the SEE on the economy and regularly organizes capacity building activities throughout the world where experience and expertise are shared. Further, the ILO constituents have adopted a Recommendation on the promotion of cooperatives and the Organization has established international partnerships with various representatives of SEE stakeholder organizations.
Ms Courteille-Mulder concluded by indicating that the SEE, through its direct contribution to the reduction of inequalities and poverty, is a weapon in the fight against exclusion and poverty and as such, is essential to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
