15 EU civil society organisations call for an ambitious and inclusive EU Anti-Poverty Strategy

Together with 15 organisations, we have addressed a joint letter to the new Executive Vice-President for People, Skills, and Preparedness, Roxana Mînzatu.   We welcome the new EVP and request a meeting to discuss the upcoming first-ever EU Anti-Poverty Strategy, announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. This is a pivotal moment for the EU to intensify efforts in the fight against poverty and work towards its eradication.    As civil society organisations working on a wide range of fundamental rights, our diverse and complementary perspectives will be key to contribute to a comprehensive and intersectional EU Anti-Poverty Strategy, that aligns with other key EU policy frameworks.   Poverty is a fundamental rights violation. It’s time for poverty eradication!   #EUAntiPovertyStrategy #EUAPS #FightPoverty
