Did you know that May 5 was the three-year anniversary of the entry into force of the Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (OP-ICESCR)?
This treaty, which has been ratified by 21 countries, ensures that citizens who have experienced violations of their economic, social and cultural rights (ESCR) have access to justice on an international level in the case that national mechanisms do not provide adequate remedy.
