According to Fintan Farrell, there were three innovations at this Round Table which could make a difference. The first of these is the increased direct participation of people experiencing poverty, the second one is the presence of so many journalists and the final innovation is the potentially historic, first ever informal Council meeting of Ministers responsible for anti poverty policies which took place alongside the Round table.
