Social Platform
EAPN is a member of the Platform of European Social NGOs (Social Platform): http://www.socialplatform.org
Joint Social Conference
EAPN is part of a pan-European alliance called the Joint Social Conference (JSC), a spin-off of the European Social Forum’s last meeting in Malmö in 2009. It brings together trade unions and social movements /NGOs, such as: trade unions – ETUC, EPSU, CGIL (Italy), FGTB & CNE (Belgium), FSU & CGT (France), CGTP (Portugal), Cartel ALFA (Romania), ver.di (Germany) etc; movements – ATTAC (different countries), Coalition of Resistance (UK), Transform!, the Transnational Institute / Susan George, EuroMarches, Rosa Luxemburg, Tax Justice Network, the Campaign for the Welfare State (Norway) etc.
EAPN is involved since the beginning and it is part of the Initiative Committee. Two preparatory conferences have been organized (Spring and Autumn 2010) and two large international conferences (Spring Social Conference 2011 and 2012). The alliance receives European funding since 2012. The aim is to replicate the EU-level coordination at national level and create similar national alliances – already successful in Belgium, the UK, Italy, Austria, Greece etc. See also the Facebook page of the alliance.
Alter Summit
The Alter Summit was launched in 2012 by 53 European organisations (including EAPN), plus 11 networks of researchers and 24 European personalities. Currently, it counts over 100 members. It was born out of the Joint Social Conference. The aim is to claim back democracy and propose sustainable alternatives for the exit from the crisis, as well as to oppose the neo-liberal paradigm and fight for a more social and fair Europe, under the slogan: “Another Europe NOW”. The alliance is currently preparing its Manifesto, to be adopted in June 2013 at a Summit in Athens, where 3-5000 people are expected. It will be registered with legal personality under Belgian law soon. See also the Facebook page of the alliance.

EYD2015 Civil Society Alliance
EAPN is part of the Civil Society Alliance during the European Year for Development 2015 (#EYD0215) led by CONCORD. The objectives of the EYD2015 are:
- 1. Inform Union citizens about the Union’s and the Member States’ development cooperation, highlighting the results that the Union, acting together with the Member States, has achieved as a global actor and will continue to achieve in line with the discussions on the post-2015 framework
- 2. Foster direct involvement, critical thinking and active interest of Union citizens and stakeholders in development cooperation including in policy formulation and implementation.
- 3. Raise awareness of the benefits of the Union’s development cooperation not only for beneficiaries of the Union’s development assistance but also for Union citizens and to achieve a broader understanding of policy coherence for development, as well as to foster among citizens in Europe and developing countries a sense of joint responsibility, solidarity and opportunity in a changing and increasingly interdependent world.

International Network for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR-net)

Europe+ Civil Society Alliance
EAPN is part of the European Civil Society Platform of 43 organisations calling for the revision of the Treaty with the aim of improving civil dialogue and participation of people in the shaping of Europe. It follows up on the EYCA 2013 Alliance manifesto, which EAPN has been part of. On 1st July 2014, Europe+ sent a letter to elected MEPs calling for a process of Treaty revision, putting citizens back at the heart of the European project and restore legitimacy through an open and transparent democratic process. The work of this Alliance is in line with EAPN’s general take on democracy, participation and civil dialogue.
EuroMemo Group
The European Economists for an Alternative Economic Policy in Europe (the EuroMemo Group) is a network of European economists committed to promoting full employment with good work, social justice with an eradication of poverty and social exclusion, ecological sustainability, and international solidarity.
The group was founded in 1995, and includes participants from a wide range of European countries. It holds an annual conference, usually at the end of September, and publishes an annual Memorandum which provides a critical analysis of recent developments in the European Union and is available in several European languages.

Global Coalition for Social Protection Floors
EAPN is part of the Global Coalition for Social Protection Floors, which promotes the right of all people residing in a country to social security, regardless of documentation. The GCSPF promotes social protection floors as key instruments to achieve the overarching social goal of the global development agenda. It can simultaneously address the economic, social and environmental dimensions of sustainability and preservation of livelihoods. http://www.socialprotectionfloorscoalition.org/
European Platform for Investing in Children (EPIC)
EAPN is one of the partners of the European Platform for Investing in Children (EPIC). The EPIC Platform aims to provide information about all policies that can help children and their families face up to the unprecedented challenges that exist in the current economic climate in Europe. Child poverty is one of EAPN’s key priorities. EAPN and Eurochild published a joint Explainer on Child Poverty Towards Children’s well-being in Europe. EPIC is geared towards knowledge exchange on a variety of policies, programmes and practices among stakeholders and a wider audience of practitioners, academics and policy-makers.
