gradual reduction of unemployment benefits, suspension of integration benefits, exclusion of minimum income beneficiaries, minimum income still below the poverty line, introduction of VAT for pro bono lawyers, amongst other counterproductive measures. If the future federal government wants to seriously tackle poverty says BAPN, it will need to at least substantially increase the minimum income to an adequate level based on budget standards.
