The project was led by EAPN Hungary with partners from Austria, Croatia and Serbia. The project sought to improve the situation of young people by strengthening their capabilities to manage their own lives and become active citizens, through the development and testing of socially innovative approaches and exchange of mutual learning. The closing conference brought together more than 100 participants, in particular the young people who had benefited from participating in the project, to reflect on the outcome of their involvement in the project. The Closing Conference reflected the creative means used throughout the life of the project and the participants made a strong case for the approach of the project and demanded that such approaches be supported as part of future youth training programmes. The final report of the project will address many recommendations for follow up at the different levels. Fintan Farrell, Director of EAPN took part in the final conference and stressed he stressed the need for future European Social Funds to support such approaches.
