New report from Community Platform on the human impacts of austerity
25/02/2014 – a new report by a network of 30 leading Irish national organisations working against poverty and inequality highlights the Government’s failure to protect the most vulnerable in society. It warns that the dual attack of unemployment and relentless cuts at national and local level has pushed individuals, families and communities into poverty.

Local Preparation meetings for Social Inclusion Forum
As part of the preparation process for the national Social Inclusion Forum 2014, the Community Workers’ Co-operative and EAPN Ireland are carrying out a number of preparatory workshops. These workshops will support people to contribute to and prepare for the national Social Inclusion Forum. The workshops will cover the Government’s plans to address poverty and social exclusion, the current reality and issues impacting on these plans, as well as the Social Inclusion Forum itself as an opportunity to discuss key issues at national level.
