16/06/2014 – Poverty and social exclusion are still increasing in the Community of Madrid, says EAPN Madrid in its study: Evolution and impact of the risk of poverty and exclusion in the Community of Madrid, based on data from the Survey on Living Conditions (Encuesta de Condiciones de Vida). According to the annual survey of EAPN Madrid, the risk of poverty and exclusion in Madrid continues to rise. In 2012, 1,300,662 people were experiencing or at risk of poverty and social exclusion, according to 20.3% of national income threshold. The figures increase to apply the threshold income of the community: 1,678,149 people live at risk of poverty and exclusion moderate, 1,078,354 people at risk of severe poverty and exclusion, and about 759,314 people are at risk of poverty and extreme exclusion.
