EAPN will remind ministers that employment and green growth policies need to be accompanied by Investments in affordable housing, energy-saving/insulation priorities and social/health infrastructure (particularly early childhood education and care centres/health and social services) to ensure positive results on multiple Europe 2020 objectives: providing new jobs, investing in people, tackling climate change, and reducing poverty.EAPN will speak and participate in the parallel roundtable “Employment and environmental policies: tools, experiences and barriers” of the Informal Joint Meeting of EU Environment and Labour Ministers organised by the Italian Presidency of the Council of the EU.
