The report has been prepared by staff Philippe Lamberts, MEP.The study shows that the proliferation of new tools like the Economic Semester and the Euro-Plus Pact developed in the EU to stem the crisis and align the priorities of Member States, is not contributing to the achievement of economic, social, environmental EU targets and objectives in Europe 2020. The Report concludes that the EU is not taking Europe 2020 commitments seriously…..with fiscal consolidation the only driver.
