EAPN Portugal has been developing since July 2011 the ROMI project. This project is financed by the National Operational Programme on Human Potential. It lasts for 29 months (July 2011 to November 2013) and is aimed at Roma women in two municipalities of the Porto District (Santo Tirso and Paredes). The main objective of this project is to foster equal opportunities for Roma women by promoting the practice of an active citizenship, as well as information and awareness raising in local communities about social and cultural realities of this ethnic group. 3rd Forum of People Experiencing Poverty and Social Exclusion, 17 October, Hotel Tuela, Porto. Based on the National Reform Program, the EU 2020 Strategy and the EYVA, the III National Forum aims to promote the participation of citizens who live (or lived) in poverty and / or social exclusion.
