19/02 – Carlos Susías, the President of EAPN Spain and vice-President of the 3rd-Sector Platform (Plataforma del Tercer Sector) participated in the “Nation’s Social Debate”organized by the Socialist Parliamentarian Group in the Congress. The event aimed at discussing the state on the social services in Spain. Click on the title to read more (in Spanish).
12/02 – EAPN Spain, as a leading member of the committee promoting the Popular Legislative Initiative on retroactive payment in kind, on halting evictions standstill and on the social rent – the Table of the 3rd Sector of Catalunya along with many other prominent social partners, welcomes the admission of the ILP by all parliamentary groups.
This is a recognition for the almost 1.5 million citizens who signed in favour of this initiative, for the social mobilization, and for the thousands of people who have lost their homes, when not also their lives. EAPN Spain will continue to fight for this law to be enforced and generally to find real solutions to the severe housing problems that people, especially to the most vulnerable, have to cope with in Spain.
