Fintan Farrell Director of EAPN contributed to the panel which looked at the proposed “Performance Framework: Incentives and Conditionalities” in the Commissions proposal. It was an opportunity to present EAPN’s opposition to the proposed economic conditionality which in EAPNs view will make a double penalty to poorer regions and limit the scope of the future funds to deliver a social inclusion agenda. It was also the opportunity to present EAPN’s key views in relation to the proposed regulation from the Commisison. These views were highlighted in the letter sent by EAPN to Directory Generals within Member States responsible for Cohesion policy. This letter was highlighted in the previous EAPN Flash.
