EAPN is very pleased to welcome the new Director, Leo Williams.
Leo will start working for EAPN as the Director on 9 January. Fintan Farrell, Acting Director will continue to work for EAPN as Project Manager. EAPN wishes to thank Fintan Farrell for all the dedication, commitment and great work done!
Leo Williams, new EAPN Director:
“Having worked for the last six years with Beyond 2015 to promote participation and tackle inequality at the global level, I am thrilled to be joining EAPN to continue this work at a national and european level. We live in an era of networks, where we need to rely on the strength of collective working to make real change – and I look forward to working with a strong and committed network of EAPN professionals and activists to make concrete improvements to poverty and inequality across Europe.”

Despite some positive signs of political recognition of the urgency to do something to face the terrible situation of more than 25% of the EU population living at risk of poverty and social exclusion, there is still a long and tough way to go towards our main objective: the eradication of poverty. That’s why it is very good to welcome a personality like Leo, full of energy, good ideas and a background that can assure all of us that the continuation of our mission will be fully pursued. It is never too much to thank again the former Director and acting Director, Fintan Farrell, for all the dedication, commitment and good work done for EAPN during the last 13 years, and for the fact that we’ll continue to be able to count on his strength in his new role as Project Manager in EAPN.
