Right from the start, the Dutch Network has consisted exclusively of self-help organisations. Convinced that people themselves know best what they need to improve their situation, EAPN Netherlands let people speak for themselves. As the time and circumstances has changed, we open up our organisation to everybody and every organisation who are supporting our mission and vision and/or have common goals within their own organisation.
Convinced by now that change can only happen if we do it together, poor and rich, excluded- and included people, (paid) working- and (unpaid) working people and organisation or individuals. We still are convinced that people themselves know best what they need and therefore the statutes are changed to insure that the people themselves will be the ones in the driving seats.
As EAPN Netherlands, they lobby, negotiate and translate the results of these discussions and the collected signals from and to their members and from ant to the political national and European levels.
