2. Report on improving the situation of low-income workers, written by Kevin P. O’Kelly and Caroline Corr.
The two reports highlight the challenges to making policies that empower people living in extreme poverty and working poor and include examples of measures set in place by different member states of the Council of Europe.
EAPN presented its perspective on the importance of participation of people experiencing poverty in policy-making and responded the report on the empowerment of people experiencing extreme poverty. This was also an occasion to meet with the Maltese Network – Malta Anti Poverty Forum and to support its membership development work and the preparations for the EU Year 2010 in Malta.
