This issue of the MAG gives you a comprehension picture of what the 2010 European Year combating poverty and social exclusion is and means, what actors are involved and hopefully will encourage you to get involved if you haven’t already.
2010 has arrived in the middle of the crisis turmoil, so it is more than relevant to ask ourselves what the political outcome of this European Year will be, notably for the now 83 million people facing poverty in the EU, i.e. now 16,6% of the EU population.
Will it or will it not mark a turning point towards a more social Europe?
