8th National Meeting on Participation: “Social Participation is putting people at the centre of society”
18/06 – Over 130 people from 16 autonomous communities gathered from 14th to 16th June in Málaga at the 8th National Meeting on Participation of People experiencing poverty and social exclusion. This meeting was a citizen response to the current crisis, from a social and engaged perspective. Its main aim was to put citizenship at the heart of social change and to consider it as part of the solution, in times of uncertainty and cuts. Read more on EAPN Spain website (in Spanish).
Civil society will receive over 4,5 million euro to reinforce NGO sector
01/06 – The President of the NGO Platform, Juan Lara Crevillén, the Director General of Services for Families and Childhood, María Salomé Adroher and Anders EIde, from the Norwegian Embassy, have chaired the meeting of over 70 NGOs. The NGO Platform, operational organisation chosen to run the NGO Fund, presented a management proposal for the Fund of the Economic European Area in Spain. This Fund is made of 4,5 million euro and should run till 2015. Read more on EAPN Spain website.
