The European Commission (DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion) and the 5 main political groups in the European Parliament will participate in the event. EAPN members will present concrete examples of implementing integrated Active Inclusion on the ground.
In the immediate aftermath of the European Council at the end of June, and prior to the release of the Commission´s report on the implementation of Active Inclusion in the Fall, we feel it timely to take stock of how Active Inclusion integrated approaches have been understood and pursued by Governments, especially in troubled recession times when these approaches are all the more needed, and to propose concrete steps forward. EAPN will contribute the solid experience and expertise of its members in countries, highlighting our comprehensive publication on how to implement Active Inclusion strategies, based on local and national experiences, and screening our new short documentary on how to ensure pathway approaches towards inclusive labour markets.
We will make recommendations on how to make Active Inclusion a key instrument for an inclusive recovery, and highlight the key role of Structural Funds.
The event will benefit from input from the European Commission, as well as reactions from a panel of MEPs, representing the 5 main political groups in the European Parliament.
To register for this event, please send your full name, date of birth, place of residence and ID/passport number to coralie.flemal@eapn.eu, before July 3rd.
Please note that we will be unable to accept any registration past this deadline, in order to comply with safety and security rules of the European Parliament.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
