The European Commission’s first EU Anti-Poverty Strategy sets out a shared ambition to eradicate poverty in Europe by 2050 and prevent people from falling into poverty in the first place. But what does the Strategy actually mean for people experiencing poverty, and how can it translate into concrete action?
To help answer these questions, the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) and the European Commission have co-drafted “The Anti-Poverty Strategy: Your Questions Answered”, an accessible guide explaining the Strategy, its priorities and the commitments it sets out. Through a conversation between Piotr, who has experienced poverty, and Anna, who works at the European Commission, the document breaks down complex policy docuemnt into a more practical explanations.
