After 35 months, 29 deliverables, around 3,000 pages written, around 20 scientific articles in top class journals at EU and national level, formal and informal meetings, presentations at conferences, universities, research centres, consultations with academics, civil society organisations, and stakeholders, the WorkYP Project is heading to its concluding steps.
On Thursday 26 January 2023, the partners organised in Brussels the final conference of the project: “In-Work Poverty in Europe”. It was a success event gathering more than 100 participants in Brussels and more than 150 participants online.
Participants, including EAPN members and People Experiencing Poverty from Italy, Poland, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, discussed about the rise of in-work poverty in the EU, the roles of social partners, the gender dimension of in-work poverty but the conference was also the opportunity for the project partners to present the main findings and policy proposals to combat in-work poverty at national and European level.
More information, including all the reports from the project will soon be available on the project’s website: www.workingyetpoor.eu
