13/03/2014 – EAPN Poland organized in Warsaw a seminar “In work poverty in the EU and Poland”. The seminar started by presentation of Peter Kelly from the Poverty Alliance (EAPN Scotland) who told the participants about EAPN’s recommendation on in-work poverty and about the similarities in that respect between Scotland and Poland.Then prof. Wiesława Kozek from Advisory Committee of EAPN Poland presented the situation in Poland and told about recommendation EAPN in the context of Polish situation. In the afternoon session we had 2 speakers: representatives of 2 trade unions who presented a problem of in work poverty from trade unions perspective and a representative from the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs who told about governmental activities about the topic. The seminar was also attended by 10 representatives of other EAPN national networks, as EAPN was holding an Executive Meeting in Warsaw on 14 and 15 March 2014.
