The Committee, attended by the President of EAPN, Sergio Aires and Veronica Lope Fontagné MEP (PP), examined the social situation in Europe and the political future of the European elections. The same day, The “Caixa” Foundation and the ESADE Foundation organized a roundtable today on “Challenges in advocacy for the NGO agenda”. At a time of great change and social and environmental challenges NGOs need to stablish the main challenges of their political agenda. Among other issues, what variations in their actions and public advocacy campaigns can make them achieve more social transformation. The key participants were Carlos Susías, president of EAPN Spain; Esteban Beltrán, director of Amnesty International; Pebbly Asuncion Ruiz, executive director of SEO / BirdLife; José María Vera Villacián, CEO of Oxfam Intermón.
