The International Social Work Congress (ISWC16) at Hacettepe University.
November 21, 2016 - November 23, 2016

The congress will be held by the Social Work Department of the Hacettepe University in Ankara, a division know to be a pioneer in social work education at undergraduate, MSW and PhD levels in Turkey.
The symposiums on social work have been held every year nationally since 1995, with the collaboration of the Association of Social Workers. This year, our congress takes the scale to an international level with a broader theme.
The Congress is organized with an aim to address the emerging need to explore the response of social work in local, national and international social problems. We hope to achieve this by focusing on the future of social work.
The purpose of this meeting is to bring academics, researchers, educators and practitioners to present their ideas on social work education, organization of social services, social policies, changing needs of vulnerable groups and service provisions, with a specific focus on the future of social work.
The confirmed keynote speakers are Professor Lena Dominelli and Professor Malcolm Payne from the UK and Professor Haluk Soydan from the US, who will inspire and empower all the attendees of the congress.
