On 7 and 8 November 2018, the 17th European Meeting of People Experiencing Poverty (PeP) is taking place in Brussels. The Meeting, organised by the European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) with the support of the EU Commission and the EAPN Fund, and with the participation of the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, will address the issue of Poverty & Access to Education.
Over a hundred people experiencing poverty from 32 European countries are preparing around this topic and will be in Brussels during two days to share their knowledge and experience with each other, and with EU decision-makers.
Within the Meeting and in order to raise awareness on the fight against poverty and social exclusion to a large audience, people experiencing poverty will participate in a “Superhero” flashmob in front of Central Station in Brussels on Thursday 8 November 2018 at 9.00 am!
This visibility action is a way to show that People experiencing Poverty are constantly surviving in difficult circumstances, finding creative solutions for lots of problems they are facing, they have to solve millions of problems at the same time, and a lot of them are even capable in these circumstances to show solidarity for each other.
