“Towards a New Strategic Plan for EAPN”

EAPN has been working on the European Semester, as this is the key driver-mechanism of the forthcoming years in European convergence and monetary union. Amongst its objectives, EAPN will reflect on the best ways to counteract  the current neo-liberal political approach to the EU’s economy, denounce the decisions imposed on countries under the corrective arm of the Stability and Growth Pact and make appropriate recommendations in that regard.

EAPN is also determined to contribute to strengthen the Social Dimension of the EMU and see progress on a EUropean Directive on adequate minimum income.

For EAPN, the voices of people experiencing poverty must also gain influence in policy- and decision-making processes.
