{jathumbnail}Brussels, 22 February 2012 – In the wake of the new “bail out’’ package for Greece by the “Troika’’, EAPN has sent a letter to President Barroso, copied to the Heads of the IMF and ECB, setting out 5 key actions, consistent with the agreed Europe 2020 strategy, that should be taken in all countries in receipt of such economic support.
Brussels, 05 December 2011 -In advance of the EU Council meeting on 8 and 9 December, EAPN has sent a letter to EU Prime Ministers outlining their proposals for a way out of the crisis which prioritises solidarity and an inclusive Europe 2020 Strategy.
10 November 2011, Brussels – In advance of the European Commission adopting the new Annual Growth Survey (AGS) on 23 November, launching the new Economic Semester and next phase of Europe 2020 Strategy, EAPN has written to President Barroso presenting their assessment of the first year of the Strategy and outlining 5 priority areas for action to meet the EU poverty reduction target.
Brussels, 2 November 2011 – In view of the meeting in Warsaw on 3 and 4 November of Directors General in charge of Cohesion Policy in all EU Member States, EAPN sent them its views on the Commission’s legislative proposals for the Structural Funds’ Regulations post-2013.

Europe urgently needs to stop austerity measures, and support social investment, inclusive governance and solidarity in its approach to the crisis!
Brussels, 29 September 2011 – Last Friday, EAPN’s Conference Getting out of the Crisis Together presented its Working Paper: Re-engaging Hope and Expectations – getting out of the crisis together, highlighting 12 key elements for viable alternative approaches for an inclusive recovery.
