FNARS sent the Minister of Equality of Territories and Housing an evaluation of the number of places available this winter and of the number that should remain available. 75% of all places opened for the winter have closed down.
May 2012 – Last January, EAPN Estonia released a press release calling for a rise in the subsistence benefits, still ridiculously low in Estonia — 76,70 EUR for first person (and 80 % each next family member) after accommodation costs, while the monthly food basket costs 77,58 EUR per person. Press release was picked up by most national newspapers.
