FNARS (EAPN France member): the Group of united associations (Collectif des associations unies) meets Prime Minister on Housing
The “Collectif des associations unies” met in Matignon, the Governement’s residence on 10 November, with Prime Minister François Fillon, Minister for Environment Jean-Louis Borloo and Secretary of State for Housing Benoist Apparu, on the eve of a ministerial reshuffle.
The Poverty Alliance (EAPN Scotland): Welfare White Paper – Making Work Pay by making the Workless Poorer?
The UK Government launched on 11 November a White Paper on Welfare. The paper contains proposals to simplify the benefit system, to “make work pay” and introduces the idea of a ‘universal’ credit.

In response to the increasing attacks on so called ‘welfare cheats’, a new campaign is being launched calling for the end to the unfair portrayal of people living in poverty in the UK.
