As part of the project “from Observation to Participation”, financed by the Ministry of Employment, Health and Social Affairs, around 100 people met in Avellino (Naples) on 13 March 2009, to discuss the participation of people in poverty and the need for better basic services.
In a paper produced by EAPN Bulgaria for the Bulgarian Recovery Plan, they point out that the crisis could be a period of opportunities. “How well these opportunities will be used determines where societies will be headed for – sustainable development and recovery or ‘take a short breath’ and then again plunge into the wave of a following crisis“.

The Scottish Migrants Network, a grouping of organisations working with and for new migrants in Scotland, has recently launched a new poster campaign to inform migrants of their rights at work.
