A conference organized by EAPN (European anti-poverty network) in partnership with the Chair “Alimentations du monde” and INRA (National Institute for Agronomic Research).
January 2013 – “Leicester is a city of around 330,000 people; it is the tenth largest in England (…) a city in which the long-term decline of the textile industry has led to a high level of poverty – both in work and out of work. There are 26,000 poor children.”
Dec 2012 – TheSlovak Anti-Poverty Network published first Shadow report on poverty and social exclusion in Slovakia, drafted with the support from the Institute of Sociology and F. Ebert Foundation and utilised by experiences as a member of the Commission Network of Social Inclusion independent experts.
10/01 – Lone parents will increasingly struggle to achieve a decent standard of life in Scotland due to the combined impact of cuts to welfare and the rising cost of food and fuel according to research published today.
As the Annual Convention on Poverty was held on 10th and 11th December, FNARS and 8 persons experiencing exclusion launched a series of 3 videos to witness how they fell in poverty, recall the scope of the phenomenon of exclusion in France and tell what they expect from the Government.
05/12 – The European Anti-Poverty Network (EAPN) Ireland has repeated its call on the Government to meet its obligations and carry out and publish poverty impact assessments of budgets.
The Union of Economists in Bulgaria (an organisation established in the late 19th century) organised with the support of EAPN a National Conference on the subject of: ‘Crisis, Inequality and Poverty: The Bulgarian Situation and the Alternative Policies in the European Context’.
