The XXII General Assembly of EAPN will take place in Lisbon from 16 to 18 June. The theme for this General Assembly is that in the light of the current economic, political and social crisis ‘Europe needs a new Heart’.
ETUC adopts Athens Declaration
The 12th Congress of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) took place in Athens from the 16th to the 19th of May. Fintan Farrell, Director of EAPN was present at the Congress.

14th Council of European Green Party discusses the Social Dimension of the Green New Deal
EAPN Director, Fintan Farrell, was invited by the European Green Party to take part in their plenary discussion on the social dimension of the Green New Deal at its Council held in Budapest from 21 March to 3 April.
Were EU leaders serious when committing to poverty-reduction target?
{jathumbnail}In advance of the Spring Council 24-25 March, EAPN wrote to the Prime Ministers and Heads of State and Governments, to express its alarm at the current discussions and decisions taking place on Economic Governance (Reform of the Stability and Growth Pact and the Pact for the Euro), happening without adequate public and democratic scrutiny and without a proper assessment of their social impact.
EAPN speaks at Economic Policy Forum seminar on more equal income distribution for better economic and social stability
