President Barroso gives State of the Union speech and Commission’s agenda – Priority is given to markets over investment in people
12/09/2013, Brussels – President Barroso made his State of the Union speech yesterday in the European Parliament, setting the tone of the European Commission’s priorities for the coming year.
Social policy and social inclusión have to be at the heart of the next Government’s agenda, with the aim to build a fairer and more equitable society, giving priority to the fight against poverty.

10/09/2013 – As of yesterday the national branches of the right2water.eu campaign have been handing in the signatures collected to the respective national authorities. We are now demanding that the European Commission to implements the Human Right to water and sanitation in European Union basic legislation.
06/12 – CILAP EAPN Italia and the organisation Associazione Amici di Piazza Grande are organizing a meeting on “The emerging needs, reflections and proposals from the people experiencing poverty and social exclusion“, with a two-fold objective: discuss the results of the 10th European Meeting of Experiencing Poverty and launch the activities for 2012.
