16/11 – EAPN hosted a group of Belarusian NGOs, discussing the context and the kind of work civil-society organisations carry out in Belarus, in Lithuania and in the rest of the European Union countries.

17-18/11 – In support of the initiatives ‘Youth on the Move’ and ‘European platform against poverty’, the European Commission organised an evidence-based and policy-oriented conference on ‘Youth and Social Inclusion’.

16/11 – DG Regio held a “Structured dialogue with civil society on EU Cohesion Policy 2014-2020: legislative proposals”.
The Poverty Alliance responds to the Coalition Government’s emergency budget (22 June 2010). The package of cuts to benefits will hit hard.
17-18/11 – The Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (The Tri-Partite Social Partners Body in Malta) invited Fintan Farrell, Director of EAPN to provide a training, on models of civil and social dialogue. It was an opportunity to develop a shared understanding among participants on the definition and role of civil dialogue as part of building participatory democracy.
